MYOB Assist is a companion app for MYOB Business
Whether you're on a job site, on the road, or just in a hurry – use the MYOB Assist app to send invoices and capture expenses. It syncs with MYOB Business, so you'll see your invoices and captured expenses in MYOB Business straight away.
Then, you can jump into MYOB Business or AccountRight for more in-depth tasks, like working with your captured expenses or diving into reports.
The MYOB Assist app is like having the invoicing and expense upload features from MYOB Business in your pocket, anywhere, anytime.
Goodbye MYOB Capture and MYOB Invoice, hello MYOB Assist
The MYOB Assist app replaces the MYOB Capture and MYOB Invoice apps in Australia, both of which will be retired in February 2026.
MYOB Assist combines these two apps into one smarter, easier to use app.
Once you're using MYOB Assist, you can uninstall MYOB Capture and MYOB Invoice from your phone.

Understanding AI in MYOB Assist
Right now, MYOB Assist uses AI to read and process the captured receipts and bills that you upload into MYOB Business.
In the future, you'll see more AI features that'll help you work more efficiently. You're already seeing things like category suggestions in MYOB Business. These will continue to evolve and make their way into the MYOB Assist app.
Jump into MYOB in a browser for more features
When you're not on the go or need to do more, use your MYOB Business or online AccountRight software.
Control user access
If you want to give others access your MYOB file or you want them to use the MYOB Assist app, invite them. Then use roles to control which parts of your MYOB business and the app they can access.
Here are the roles and what they allow a user to do in the MYOB Assist app:
Administrator, Accountant/Bookkeeper or Sales role – create, edit and delete invoices, capture expenses and add or edit customers.
Purchases, Payroll, Banking or Contacts role – capture expenses and add or edit customers (no invoicing).
Create quotes, orders and credits
The MYOB Assist app let's you quickly create and send invoices. If you need to create quotes or sales orders, head over to MYOB in a web browser. More about quotes and sales orders.
If you need to create or refund a credit, you'll need to do it using MYOB in a web browser. This includes applying credits to unpaid invoices. More about credits
Maintain products and services
In the MYOB Assist app, you can choose the products and services to add to your invoices, but you'll need to maintain those items using MYOB in a web browser. This includes creating, updating or deleting them.
You can add an incidental item to an invoice in the app. But if you want to add it to your list of regular products and services, you'll need to do it using MYOB in a web browser.
Dive into business reports
You've sent invoices and captured expenses in the app, now use the reports in your MYOB software in a browser for powerful insights.
Use your sales reports to check business performance, identify trends and uncover opportunities. Or check your purchases reports to monitor spending and help with budgeting.
