The MYOB Invoice app has been replaced
We're retiring the MYOB Invoice app in Australia at the end of February 2026. But we've replaced it with MYOB Assist - a smarter invoicing app that includes additional features like the ability to capture and upload an expense or receipt.
This means you can switch to MYOB Assist and continue creating, sending and managing your invoices on the go. Plus, you'll also be able to snap pics of bills and receipts and upload them into your MYOB Business to speed up your expense tracking.
MYOB Assist is designed for mobile phones, so it's fast and easy to use. Plus it's free and – just like MYOB Invoice – it syncs with MYOB Business and online AccountRight company files.

Move to MYOB Assist before February 2026
The MYOB Invoice app will stop working at the end of February 2026, so you need to move to MYOB Assist before then.
We've also removed MYOB Invoice from the app store so it can no longer be downloaded. But if it's already on your phone, it'll keep working until it's officially retired at the end of November.
Simply visit the app store, download MYOB Assist, then delete the MYOB Invoice app from your device. You won't lose any data because it's all stored safely online in your MYOB Business file.
MYOB Assist works with MYOB Business plans
MYOB Assist is a companion app that works with an MYOB Business subscription plan (Pro, Lite, AccountRight or Connected Ledger).
You can check or change your current subscription plan in My Account (myaccount.myob.com).
You'll need your own sign-in details to use MYOB Assist
Sharing sign-in details is a significant security risk for businesses. That's why anyone using MYOB Assist will need to sign in using their own unique MYOB sign-in details (email address and password).
So if you were sharing sign-in details to use MYOB Invoice, it's time to protect yourself and your business data with your own sign-in details for MYOB Assist.
Don't have sign-in details?
If you don't have your own unique sign-in details for MYOB Assist, your MYOB administrator will need to invite you to the business's MYOB file. They'll also need to assign the applicable role to control what you can do in MYOB Assist.
Here are the roles in MYOB Business that control the functions in the MYOB Assist app:

Learn more about setting up users and managing user access.
Two-factor authentication protects your data
Unlike MYOB Invoice, MYOB Assist uses two-factor authentication (2FA) to prevent unauthorised access. It's an additional layer of security on top of your password. It involves using something that only you have access to – like your mobile phone.
You'll be prompted to set up 2FA when you first set up your MYOB account. Then, you'll be prompted for a 2FA verification code when you sign into MYOB Assist.
Quotes are on their way
Quotes are coming soon to MYOB Assist! Until then, you'll need to manage quotes in your MYOB software.
Activity slips will only be available in AccountRight
You can create activity slips in MYOB Invoice if you use Time Billing in AccountRight. You can keep using MYOB Invoice for activity slips until the app is retired in February, then you'll need to use AccountRight for time billing.
Online company files only
