AccountRight Classic (V19 and earlier) decommission

AccountRight Classic (including v19 and all previous versions) is being decommissioned on 28 February 2026. MYOB will be turning off activation and confirmation for AccountRight Classic on this date. After this, if you're still using AccountRight Classic you'll no longer be able to make changes to your company file. 

Files in AccountRight Classic will become read-only

After 28 February 2026, activation and confirmation will be turned off for AccountRight Classic – company files in this product will become read-only after the next confirmation. You can view historical data but can't make any changes to your file.

To keep working, upgrade to the new AccountRight

The good news is you're able to keep working by moving the new AccountRight, a much more modern product with better ways to work with, share and customise your business information and maintain your cashflow. See what's new  

Plan your upgrade well before 28 February 2026 to ensure a seamless transition.

Key dates 

  • 10 December 2025: You'll no longer be able to upgrade to the latest version using the built-in AccountRight upgrade feature. If you want to upgrade after this date, you'll need to set up a new MYOB subscription and complete a migration form.

  • 28 February 2026: Activation and confirmation is turned off for AccountRight v19 and all earlier versions – company files in these versions will become read-only after the next confirmation. You can view historical data but can't make any changes to your AccountRight Classic file.  

How to upgrade 

The in-product Upgrade a company file feature is no longer available. To upgrade, you now need to:

  1. Request to move to a new MYOB product by setting up a new subscription.

  2. Fill out a form to move, and our in-house experts will take care of everything using our conversion tools and keep you updated along the way.

Backups from AccountRight Classic can't be restored in the new AccountRight

From 10 December, you won’t be able to restore and upgrade company file backups from AccountRight Classic using the in-product upgrade tool. If you need to do this, contact support.
