What do I need to do before my data is migrated to MYOB?
To ensure a smooth migration with no lost transactions, you will need to prepare your old file before submitting your migration request.
Here’s what you need to do:
Ensure all users stop entering data in your old file before exporting to avoid additional costs.
Reconcile all your bank and credit card accounts, addressing any unreconciled transactions or issues such as duplicate transactions.
Resolve all outstanding bills or invoices that are not going to be paid.
Ensure your contact list and employee leave records are accurate.
Review your inventory and adjust any negative stock.
Create a backup file.
Note: Please wait until migration is complete to enter new data into your MYOB software, as any data entered before MCC Convert completes the migration will be lost.
Is there anything I need to do after moving my data?
Yes, after your data has been migrated there are some things you will need to do to ensure your reports are correct.
Please seek advice from your BAS agent or accountant when running your first lot of reports for BAS, PAYG, and superannuation. As transactions migrate across as General Journals, rather than entering through the MYOB payroll system, your BAS link will not pick up the figures from the payroll history.
We recommend you obtain the advice of your tax agent or financial advisor when completing your first round of GST, PAYG and run reports for your GST return after the conversion.
